About nVidia 

Nvidia is a GPU (graphics processing unit) and motherboard chipset manufacturer based in Santa Clara, California (US). It was founded in 1993 and since then became one of the leaders in gaming and professional graphics. Nvidia was the first to introduce a graphics card with on-board transform and lighting (T&L) - the Geforce 256 - in 1999. The GeForce brand became highly popular and with the exception of FX series these cards have always been some of the best on the home graphics market. The popular gaming console Playstation 3 also uses Nvidia graphics.

In February 2008 Nvidia acquired Ageia Technologies and started integrating their physics engine, the PhysX into Geforce cards. All Geforce 8 cards and above now support PhysX hardware acceleration for PhysX-enabled games.

About AMD / ATI 

ATI was a major designer and manufacturer of GPUs and motherboard chipsets until 2006 when it was acquired by AMD. Even though ATI no longer exists as a company, the popular brand is still being used for graphics cards (at least until 2011, when it will be discontinued).

ATI was founded in 1985, producing graphics cards for PC makers like IBM. They launched a highly popular Radeon GPU line in year 2000. After ATI's acquisition by AMD in 2006 the newly renamed AMD Graphics Product Group continued making high-end graphics cards for gaming and professional work. The popular Xbox 360 console also uses an ATI graphics chip


 p/s- for me i prefer use the nvidia coz i'm gamer n nvidia give me good performance for gaming.

Windows 8 roadmap - ready by mid-2012?

ZD Net's Mary Jo Foley published a Windows 8 roadmap and speculates the new operating system may be finalized by mid-2012:
Microsoft execs also are not commenting on an alleged Dell roadmap leak from last week, which made it appear as if Dell will have a Windows 8 tablet ready in time for January 2012. While I wondered aloud last week (as did at least one Wall Street analyst) whether that meant Microsoft might be further along with Win 8 for systems-on-a-chip (SoC) processors than many of us previously believed, I’ve heard since that probably isn’t the case. That would mean the Dell “Peju” Win 8 tablet could be nothing but a demo machine for select developers … and maybe a debut at a Consumer Electronics Show (CES) keynote (?)…
In any case, if Microsoft does follow history and deliver a Win 8 Beta 1, Beta 2 and Release Candidate before RTMing, Windows 8 is looking like a mid-2012 RTM. The Windows 8 train seems to be running on time — just like the Win 7 one did.

Microsoft has announced that the first service pack for Windows 7 operating system would be available for public download from February 22 onwards.
For users, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 doesn't pack any new feature but is a cumulative bunch of security updates and hot fixes. From today, Microsoft Developer Network subscribers, TechNet subscribers and Volume License customers would be able to download the Windows 7 SP1. Windows 7 SP1 would be available as a direct download from Microsoft Download Center or through Windows Update. Before you start updating:

• Ensure the laptop is plugged in to an electrical outlet (AC) while installing Windows 7 SP1
• Save work and take back up of important files before you start the installation since it requires a reboot and implements number of changes
• Installing Windows 7 SP1 requires a bit more hard drive space. Use Disk Cleanup tool to assist in freeing up hard drive space.

For those who may want to free up hard drive space, it is possible to remove the service pack installation specific files after installing Windows 7 SP1. After installing Windows 7 SP1, you can remove the service pack installation files by running Disk Cleanup and clicking on the 'Clean up system files' button and checking 'Service Pack Backup Files' to free up space.

Pembahagian data dalam partition computer

Seperti yang kita tau dalam kiya punye komputer ad partition untuk sistem or data...
selalunya org akan membuat 2 paprtition iaitu C untuk sistem dan D untuk data.
Kat sini nak bagi nasihat la sikit kepada pengguna-pengguna komputer kat luar 2, untuk membuatkan sistem komputer kita running ngan stable n efisen...
Dah nama pon C untuk sistem, so jgn la korang letak bnayk data2,or keje korang kat dalam C coz ia boleh membuatkan komputer anda menjadi perlahan...
Seelok-eloknya korang letak la keje or data korang dalam partition D. Ruang C 2 kita guna untuk install software yang running dalam komputer je...
lagi satu kalo korang nak format pon senang sikit.  xpayah nak nak save data dalam C kalo korang dah letak dalam D coz kalo format hanya format C je.

Baru install  window 7 tapi control panel x boleh guna.
Pernahkah ia terjadi kepada anda.

re-install u r windows.or do this:
start/run/ and type sfc /scannow its shersh for problems and fix it,
(if its opened only for 0.000001 sec
then go to safe mode and then try again.
(If u dont find "RUN" on u r start menu then click start and shersh for it.
